‘Through the Looking Glass’ – Rick Magnell
Local artist Rick Magnell, presents ‘Through the Looking Glass’, a celebration of enduring beauty and soul capturing portraiture of ambrotype photography.
Rick Magnell is a multidisciplinary artist that specializes in photography, analog photography processes, and video. His exhibition shares ambrotype photography, a photographic technique from the mid-19th century, involving creating positive images on glass, transforming light and chemistry. Each portrait shares not just the surface details but the intimate and often unseen facets of the human spirit.
‘Symbiotic Relationships – The Art of Living Together’ – Georgia Lesley
Local artist Georgia Lesley, presents ‘Symbiotic Relationships – The Art of Living Together’, showcasing the beauty of the many connections throughout our diverse world.
Georgia Lesley has used many mediums over the years, and now focusses on acrylic paints in mixed media with the addition of gels, pastes, beads, sparkles and occasionally organic matter. She hopes her exhibition will stir visitors interest, especially in young individuals, and provoke thoughts about how we are all connected to each other in magical ways.
